1. How do I sign up to use AppsWeLike?
A: Please complete the registration form on appswelike.com. More information will be sent to you as we move beyond our private beta launch.
2. As a publisher/developer, how do I get AppsWeLike into my application?
A: Simply register on appswelike.com to get the free code module from Mobui. Then insert that library into your application's code.
3. When will the AppsWeLike code be available to implement in my application?
A: Soon, although this launch is still in private beta mode. We will be sending out updates on the availability of the final code to everyone who registers at appswelike.com.
4. As a publisher/developer, how do I benefit from AppsWeLike? How do I make money?
A: If you enter your iTunes affiliate ID into the AppsWeLike registration process, you can generate referral commissions of up to 5% from any app purchased via your recommendation list. Also, you can expect that Mobui will be adding a separate sponsored apps list feature in the future that will allow developers to make money by selling space in that list.
5. How do I get an affiliate number to start earning revenues from purchases that occur from clicks on my recommendation lists?
A: You can find all of the information you need to know about joining the iTunes affiliate program by visiting: http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/faq.html. Sign up and you can start earning referral commissions using AppsWeLike.
6. If I already have an app in the store do I have to build it again to us AppsWeLike?
A: Yes. Simply include the small AppsWeLike library into your mobile application's code, then recompile and submit it to the App Store for update.
7. How do I get other people to refer my apps in their AppsWeLike list?
A: If you refer other 3rd party apps from within your own app, those publishers will be notified that you have promoted them. They may be likely to cross-promote your app as well - if it is one they enjoy.
8. What does Mobui charge the developer for AppsWeLike?
A: The code is free to use. Mobui reserves the right to share in portion of the referral commissions that are generated when users purchase apps through recommendation lists. You can also expect that Mobui will be adding a separate sponsored apps list feature in the future that will allow developers to make money by selling space in that list.
9. Does AppsWeLike compete with the Apple App Store?
A: Absolutely not. We are helping people find more unique and compelling applications to purchase in the App Store. If anything, we are driving more business to the App Store.
10. Does AppsWeLike require the Apple 3.0 SDK?
A: No.
11. What data will Mobui provide me as a publisher/developer?
A: AppsWeLike members have access to a web-based administration and reporting tools that provide visibility into referral-based click-through numbers and referral-based mobile application purchases. Mobui also provides tools which publishers and mobile application developers can use to add or remove applications from the recommendation lists that are displayed within their applications.
